February 25 Elements of BalanceElements of Balance~ when mind, body, and spirit are in harmony, we have increased energy, our skin glows, the quality of our personal relationships becomes clearer, and our work improves. But reaching this sense of equilibrium can be a lifelong process, and sometimes we need assistance along the way. I am a Certified Massage Therapist, whose goal is individualized treatment of each client. Through the help of Healing Arts Institute in Citrus Heights, California I learn the most empowering skills one needs to for refreshing your mind, to revitalize your body and to restore your spirit.

August 18 Where has the time gone to
So today is Monday August 18Th, 2008Where has the time gone to, is what I would like to know. It still feels like June although we do have much better air here then in June.We had some really dog gone bad fires here in California in June felt like summer was going to be a wash. Now most of the kids are back to school today and I have one more week for Kennett.Today Kennett and I are going to the State Fair, just he and I, I can't wait. Corn dogs, cotton candy, Pepsi, those fair rides, and much more....NOT~ We will have the food on a stick, but as far as the cotton candy, Kennett can not have the dye that is in the candy, or Pepsi, or the wheat gluten that is in the corn dogs. Yea that’s right I have a very interesting young child to say the least of his eating habits. HE love venison, elk, bison, and fish...God only know where he got such fussy eating habits...LOL He is a lean, (very nice) growing machine...LOLWe spent some time at the learning center in Sacramento this summer, found out Kennett has a photographic mind. He can see and learn semantics of color like the electricians use. But as far as using his spelling words in a sentence he can not do that. But he can memories the words. Really trying to make this a great school year for him. Lots of work ahead I am sure!I found a job. I thought for the next two years I would work for someone else learn all I can then open my own practice. So far I love my job. Being a certified massage therapist is so wonderful. My hours and my days fly by. So I guess that is where my time has gone too...LOL<:)June 28 The Yahoo DanceYes I am standing on my box and doing the Yahoo Dance.
I am a Graduate of Healing Arts Institute www.healingartsinstitute.com

May 26 Gold Star Family SupportMy friend LittleRonnie brought this to my attention today. I was happy to hear about this on the news this morning. So little support is often given to these people. They are the silent sufferers, the grieving ones who may never in a lifetime get over what has happened to their families. Children who have never known their fathers. Grieving widows wondering how to support their children in life. Here is a link to the site: http://www.goldstarfamilysupport.org/ I heard some amazing stories about their recovery on TV this morning. How they have been supported in their grief and turned their own lives around. This group is not funded by the government as people might expect, but privately funded by individuals. These are the war widows from Ft. Hood. ![]() So on this Memorial Day let's also spare a thought for not only those who have fallen, but for those whose lives have been shattered by the loss of a loved one, due to war. May 24 Letting GoAs I look around today..........my dog Ginger is sleeping as it rains outside. My husband is paying bills and Kennett is watching Boom the good ole Cartoon network. Daniel is working. This week was a very hard week for me, why you say. Well I had some "Belly" work done. If you have ever had your "Belly" rubbed by a professional then you know what I am talking about. We hold much of our stress in our belly's. LETS back up....On Wednesday we started "Bellies" and I was OK with it in some areas. When my partner brought over the teacher, Kathleen Bailey CMT,~ because I was clinching to the table as she touched me in some areas she was concerned that she might not be doing something right. As it was she was OK I was the one who was in pain and working out issues. NEWS TO ME>..........So as class went on and the teacher touched me deep~~ tissue issues came up going from sad to discomfort to angry to just wanting to sleep. After class she suggested that I call her partner Robin Gayle CMT. Robin specializes in Lymphatic Drainage Massage-Raindrop- Maya Abdominal Massage-Oncology Massage. Robin would be teaching on Thursday so I tried to call her on Thursday morning to make an appointment with her but we played phone tag. Robin asked if I would be on the table to demonstrate for everyone on Thursday. OMG~ I was horrified at first. Then she said, " I do not want you to do anything that might make you feel uncomfortable". I let her know, let me go for a walk and when I come back I will let you know. So I went and cleared my head and came back ready to be worked on.... My section on the massage table on Thursday. Robin brought my uterus back to center, I am feeling my cycle ready to start. That is a good thing ~for my regular physician said I was menopausal, LOL ~ I have had the most incredible energy in my body Friday and today, I can only tell you that this is new to me and it feels so wonderful. When I grow up I want to be just like her. I do not say that ideally I say that because she is good at what she does. She is very loving and very supportive of my education. Healthy Blessings Susan April 14 Where to BlogI spent may hours going over this with my family today. And I have come up with this. Blogging is about fun. Its about where I want to put my energy. Yes I have the Myspace, my son is there so like to keep up with him and his band the Playground Patriots. I have a 360* but find it to be a pain in the but to deal with. I have Multiply and find that to be OK, but when your eyes find it hard to deal with the thinking to visit all the pages that are on the IN BOX that is hard for me. Some of the graphics bother my eyes. But what I like most was the friendships, Tint being one of them. So my solution was to bring all my writing here. But that can not be done. So I thought I would start fresh and just ad them as I go. So that is what you will see here on my page. My first week back to school was great. Have lots of studying to do, my final will be what makes or breaks me....I thought the quiz would be rather hard but it was not, actually we were handed the quiz on Thursday and were instructed to bring it back on Monday for credit on our first quiz. Open book quiz I like this. No pressure all the information gets in...I like this! I bought my massage table too. Its very nice. All my friends and neighbors want to try it out... February 29 A Woman's CareerIt's
a funny business, a woman's career. The things you drop on your way up
the ladder, so you can move faster. You forget you'll need them again
when you go back to being a woman. That's one career all females have
in common~ whether we like it or not~ being a woman. Sooner or later we've all got to work at it, no matter what other careers we've had or wanted.... and, in the last analysis, nothing is any good unless you can look up just before dinner or turn around in bed~ and there he is. Without that, you're not a woman. You're something with a French Provincial office or a book of clippings~ but you're not a woman. I got those great words from my favorite book. ~ Bette Davis, in the classic film All About Eve.....Love who you are before you can love others. I love my family. I love to cook. I love my house. I love to camp. I love to fly fish. I love to water paint. I love to quilt. I love to read. I love to write. I love to travel. I love to shop ( shshsh don't tell my husband ) and I love Ginger my lab. And I refuse to give up my $4.00 coffee in the morning. CPR/ First Aid I
have been going through some of the requirements for school and doing
some of the business stuff. The jump start stuff that I am able to do.
I am working with Julie to come up with my logo for that is what
defines me. Funny how seeing it in writing makes more since then.
Coming up with one. I have chose some colors and a lay out but not sure of all that, that is why I have asked for Julies help. I am taking my First Aid/ CPR class this weekend. I have to feel you in~ Midge who is teaching the class and I go back a few years. When I was pregnant with Kennett I was in her class and she introduced me with baby and please don't go into labor today. I reassured her that I would not be and we all laughed. Her daughter Angelina is my dear friend. She and I both had babied days apart and used each other when new preschoolers were looking for schools. We even had a family trade us spaces because it was best for all of us. It worked out well. Midge had by pass surgery on February 1st and was back to work on February 25th. When I called her to set up a date I said ASAP~ you know me want to get this out of the way. She said I will gladly make room for you. Hows this Saturday..Ok I can deal with that. So I am going to bake her a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Angelina will be there too. O what fun this is going to be, can't wait! Touch Touch
is a very important part of life. It is a language that communicates
love, understanding, and reassurance and at the same time creates a
comforting and healing effect. Many of us go through life being "touch
starved" and rarely experience the wonderful feeling of being fully
satisfied. Research in recent years has revealed that deprivation of
touch can lead not only to emotional disturbance, but also to
diminished intellectual ability, impaired physical growth, reduced
sexual interest, and deterioration of the immune system. In addition,
many forms of deviant behavior, such as those involving depression,
violence, aggression, and hyperactivity have been traced to the lack of
touch.Getting Started
